Luís is currently working with us with the position of Senior Scientist in the team.

Autobiography

Currently working to support the implementation of new marine protected areas, with particular emphasis on the deep-seamounts. I've also participated in several European projects with a focus on deep-sea exploration, such as the projects ATLAS, MARSP and iAtlantic.

Research interest

My research interests include the use of Geographic Information Systems for the geomorphological analysis of deep-sea and maritime spatial planning. GIS, Cartography, Marine Spatial Planning
